Longsford by Blackwood is a small Shcot village located near Sitheachdon by the River. Its primary industry is trading.
Longsford by Blackwood is located on a small river, but more importantly it is located next to a forest of dark oaks. It is a thick, old forest. There is also an area of rather empty land, which some think may have once been home to a burnt patch of forest.
Not much is known.
The name of the village originates from the surname long, and the word fort. Its name therefore means "Long's Fort by the Blackwood". While the records have been lost to time, "Blackwood" may refer to a type of tree growing in the area or to a burnt area of forest.
